do i need to pick up luggagego through immigrationcustoms transiting through

I am flying CA 978 from CGK to PEK. I understand the flight stops at XMN for 1 hour, and becomes a domestic flight thereafter to PEK. Do I need to clear immigration at XMN, and do I need to retrieve and recheck in my luggage at XMN? What is the procedure for such transit passengers?Thanks.

Well, I do think you need go through the immigration at XMN to transfer to the domestic flight. If you have no a large size luggage, you can just retrive it, no need to recheck. Otherwise, you need retrive and recheck you luggage. After that, you need check your boarding. Then go to the domestic flight waiting hall for your flight.
