Restrictions on Jiuzhaigou Travel

Hi,

A friend of mine from Sichuan text me today to warn me that any foreign nationals (such as myself) planning to visit JiuZhaiGou this summer must do so as part of an arranged "foreigner" tour group. This sounds like a great deal of rubbish to me, but nontheless JiuZhaiGou is one of my must see's on a last-time trip around China, and so could anybody in the area/industry confirm or deny these rumors 100%??

Thanks a lot

David

Well, I never heard about this. In fact, foreigners can go to visit Jiuzhaigou by yourself, but it is usually inconvenient for them to travel alone to Jiuzhaigou. Most of them would like to join a tour group to reduce much trouble.
