About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Do I need a transit visa if my flight will transit in Shanghai and Urumqi to tajikistan?

Was told that since there is domestic flight involved I need to secure a visa for the shanghai to Urumqi flight

Shanghai to Urumqi is a domestic flight, i think you need visa

If your stopovers in China is less than 24 hours and you will not leave the airport, no visa is required.
