About:Passport

I am going to work in China for two years. My passport will expire in 1 year. How do I renew it?

Circumstances would not allow me to renew now due to time constraints. It expires in October 2012. Can I renew it from there. I will be in or near Shanghai. Also, if I do renew it, will I have to get a new visa? As it will be stamped in my old passport.

Yes, you can renew your passport through Canadian Consulate in Shanghai. Once you renew it, you have to get a new visa on your new passport.
