It is ok to apply for a China visa this time if your previous visa extensions are processed legally at local PSB, and never overstayed in China. For business visa application, you need to prepare following documents:
1. Your passport with blank pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration.
2. A truly and completely filled application form affixed with one passport-size or 2x2 colored photo, with white background, full-face front view, and no hat. Photo must be glued on the application form. Stapled pictures will not be accepted. Scanned photos will also not be accepted.
3. An original Visa Notification Form issued by Chinese authorized unit, like local office of foreign affairs.
4. A copy of the round-trip plane ticket.
5. An invitation letter with a copy of the inviter's valid residence visa and passport information page or inviter's Chinese national identity card and the company's business registration.
6. Previously used China visa in your passport (Only visa stickers will be accepted.
No.3 and No. 5 you should get from your inviter company in China.
