About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

I heard there are changes to the business visa requirements. Can anyone explain the details?

I understand that along with the invitation letter from the Chinese company you are visiting, they also need to receive a certificate of authenticity from some Chinese government office. Where does the Chinese company get this certificate from?

The Chinese company can get the certificate of authenticity from the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation or Foreign Affairs Office. In fact, it is not hard for Canadians to get a business visa to China, the invitation letter from a Chinese company is Ok.

The invitation letter in English or Chinese is both accepted by China embassy/consulate. If you already have the invitation letter from the company, you can use it to apply for China business visa. The visa rule for Canadians is not strict. If you are a Pakistani, Nigerian or Sri Lankan, etc, you have to show the confirmation of invitation letter issued by Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation or Foreign Affairs Office
