About:Chinese Consulate in Calgary

I actually plan to come to Canada to apply for the China visa and take it back with me to South KOrea

Thanks for answering my last question. Hong Kong might be an option but would also be inconvenient and in any event will have to wait to get the visa - live in a remote area here and could not trust that it would be delivered to on time. My idea was to actually make a quick trip to Calgary and apply there bring it back with me - in hand so to speak. I believe it takes 4 working days. Is this correct and wouldn't this be the surest way to go or have I forgotten any obstacles to doing this way?

Sure, you can apply for China visa in your home country where your passport was issued. The regular processing takes about 4 working days. For emergency, you can use their rush or express service for visa processing. It will take 1-2 days.
