Do Indian Nationals in Australia need a visa to HongKong for a conference?

I am an Indian national, living in Sydney, Australia wishing to go to Hong Kong for a conference, immediately followed by a visit to Shanghai, China for another conference. I want to know:
1. do I need 2 visas? one for Hong Kong, another for China? Do I need to apply to China Consulate only or both consulates?
2. Do I need a visa for Hong Kong at all, as it's listed that I can go there as a tourist for 14 days,

Plz. let me know. Thanks in anticipation

You are right. Visa is not required for you to the conference in HK. But you need to apply for a China visa for visiting Shanghai and this visa you can apply from CVASC in Sydney.
