About:Dining in Chengdu

Am going to Chengdu by October 2011, can you recommend the best and cheap shops around the city?

I will be coming from Manila, which way is closer: Manila-Guanzhou-Chengdu? or Manila-Beijing-Chengdu? or are there better routes to reach the city from Manila? Many thanks

Both of these two routes are ok, just choose one in terms of your international flights at Manila. As for the shopping, what kind of goods would you like to purchase?
