About:Tipping in China

Having not been to China I am concerned that we do the right thing with acceptable culture behaviour and tipping. We do not tip in Australia so I am not that familiar. I am assuming that I will now tip the bellhops a minimum of 1$, the driver of our private tour half what the Guide gets so 5% of 10% of the cost but as the cost is included in the tour cost I wont be able to isolate the actual amount. Any suggestions? I note not to tip taxis and restaurants can be up to 10% of the cost of the meal if well serviced. does this sound reasonable. Any other suggestions?

We do not tip in China, too. Usually, visitors would like to tip their travel guide, but it is not a must. In Hong Kong, there is a service charge including in the dinner in restaurant.
