No dangers I think unless you are traveling alone in deserts. The Silk road streches long into present Turcky. So, it depends on which part of the Silk Road you are going to.

The travel along was incredibly dangerous. When traveling one of the 3 main routes: Northern, Central, and Southern, travelers faced desolate white-hot sand dunes in the desert, forbidding mountains, brutal winds, poisonous insects, and reptiles, not to mention bandits and pirates. Due to these hardships traders did not make the entire trip; instead they used a technique known as relay. Each trader would travel a certain distance, exchange their goods, and return.

Depends on where you at in the deserts you face death from heat and mirages. In other places you face falling of cliffs. You face getting your goods stolen, and freezing to death.

The silk Road was named the (silk road) because Chinese silk was the main thing traded. But porcelain, spices, dates, tea, jewels, and perfumes were all traded too. Europeans were hungry for exotic things from China and India. (China and India were wealthier than European countries then.)

Out the silk road trade ended around 1453, because rulers in Turkey banned trade with the west. They were angry about the Crusades.

Bandits were common along the Silk Road. The bandits knew that the chinese were not only carrying silk through the silk road, but also gold, precious stones, glass, and other materials from China. Also there was not enough water for themselves and their camels.travelers faced desolate hot sand dunes in the desert, tall/big mountains, very strong winds, poisonous insects, and reptiles. They also were threatened by diseases and sickness. They were especially threatened by bandits, snakes, scorpions, water shortage, and sandstorms.
