About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Hi,

I am visiting Malaysia tomorrow for two weeks. As a UK citizen, a Malaysian visa is given to me on entry. At the end of my stay I will need to return to China (I have lived here for many years, on a Chinese tourist visa).

Under your site 'Required Documents for Chinese Visa Application' it mentions '3. Applicants of other countries need to provide an original and a copy of Malaysian residence permit or a valid Malaysian visa.'. What exactly is the valid Malaysian visa? Is this the visa they give me on entry to Malaysia? And is this sufficient to get a new Chinese tourist (L) visa? I already have a return flight back to China.

Sorry, Mr.Pearson, you should provide the original and a copy of your permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year if you want to apply there. The one you were granted on arrival is not sufficient. So, better re-arrange your plan and apply for China visa in UK.
