About:China Transit Visa

i am a indian national and currently a permanent resident in australia(but holding a INDIAN PASSPORT)...iam flying SYDNEY-GUANGZHOU-DELHI..and return DELHI-GUANGZHOU-SYDNEY...i have a stopover of about 14 hours do i need any kind of visa??? and also my uncle is travelling with me but he has a australian passport so does he reqiure a visa???

You are exempt from going through the procedures for obtaining a transit visa if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
