Traveling within China on a Transit Visa

I am a bit confused because I have found different information online about this question. Is it possible to travel within China freely when you are on a 10 day transit visa? For example I want to fly from the USA to Beijing, then take a domestic flight to see Zhangjiajie National Forest Park before flying from there to Thailand. Is that itinerary allowed? Or do I need to stay within a certain providence that I fly into?

Yes, it's allowed. You can travel through 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities within the 10 days. You can see the full list of allowed places on this page: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm

Sorry, Jiuzhaigou is not the allowed area of the 240h visa-free transit.
