About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hi...My wife and i are going on holiday to Japan next in April 2011.We intend to travel to Shanghai/ Nanjing to visit our daughter flying direct return from Toyko to Shanghai in the middle of our vacation. Is it correct that we apply for a single entry visa through the Brisbane office. We would do this via post so if we apply say late February this should allow enough time for processing. Please advise. Also do we need to send two Express post bags..ie one for each application?...Thanks

You can't do it at the China Consulate in Brisbane, only applicants holding Diplomatic, Service or Official passport, or who are qualified to apply for the Chinese Diplomatic, Service, or Courtesy visa , or who apply for Hong Kong visa/ entry permit, can still submit the application directly to the Chinese Consulate General as usual.

Yes, a single entry visa is enough for you. The address of CVASC in Brisbane is PART level 4, 140 Ann Street. Usually you should apply about one month in advance of your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply three months earlier. Late Feb is Ok.
The center requires Australia Post's Express Post service only for mailing postal applications. 2 applications in one post is OK. And the Centre takes no responsibility for the addressing of return envelopes of completed postal applications. Accordingly, for the purpose of returning processed applications to the applicant, applicants must provide an addressed and postage paid Express Post envelope.
