About:Chinese Embassy in Argentina

I am planning a trip to Tokyo from Singapore, I can find flights that go through Beijing with Air China, unfortunately I can't find any (reliable) information wether I need a visa to transit through Beijing or not. I have a China visa but its Single Entry and I'll need it returning from Tokyo to work in Hong Kong.
Any ideas?

Thanks!

You may be exempt from going through the procedures for obtaining a transit visa if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.
