help! i will be taking a red eye flight to shanghai next month.

Question

Help! I will be taking a red eye flight to Shanghai next month. Arriving past midnight and wonder what are the transportation options for me at that time? I will be staying in Nanjing Hotel (Shanxi South Rd, Huangpo District). Will there be a midnight bus? If I'll take a taxi (which is my last option by the way) how much will it cost me? Am sorry if this question has been posted before. I honestly tried to google the answer but came up with none. Cheers and thanks for the help!

You can take the airport night line and get off at People's Square, Then take a taxi to the hotel.

Summer Snow thank you for your reply. Can you tell me how many bus stops before we reach the People's Square? This will be my first time in China and I don't speak a lick of Chinese. Will learn the basics on the way though. Cheers!

Belinda,A taxi from Pudong airport to your hotel area will be aprox 200RMB or USD 28 and about 45 minutes...since I travel to Shanghai quite often on business, I'm quite familiar with this area.  If you choose to do the bus (haven't done this exact bus myself), Peoples square will be a major stop...can't miss it. From there the taxi should be only about 2 or 3USD.  Once there you will love it!  Your location is great and Shanghai is a very cool city!  Let me know if I can help you with additional info.

Summer Snow, thanks a heap! You've been very kind. Eric, I guess my option then is the bus ;-) Not sure though where to look for the midnight line bus (be landing at T2). If you can point me in the right direction, that'll be great!!!
