About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Dear All,
I have a Chinese Visa at the moment, as I am working at a hospital in Beijing.
I was planning on taking a trip to Korea, and returning to China just in time to catch my flight back home to Australia. I would not leave the airport or even be in the country for more than 4 hours, do I need a transit Visa for this?

You do not need a transit visa if you hold a through ticket and have booked seats on international airliners flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours without leaving the airport.

Is a 'through ticket' anything special? Or will my regular ticket I booked for my home flight months in advance do?

Mr.Dan, the through ticket means that there is not direct flight from A to C, you have to transit B, maybe the airlines(A-B, B-C) belong to same airline company, or they belong to two different airline companies.

If you have the regular flight ticket from Korea to China, China to Australia, it is Ok, which can prove that you just transit China.
