hi..i read that it takes about 3 hrs to tour around summer palace, is there a place to eat there? how far is it from the city center and what are the means of transportation we can take to go there and back to the city?how much?pls help..thanks!

There are many restaurants in the summer palace.
The Summer Palace is 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) from central Beijing.
Take bus no. 209, 330, 331, 332, 346, 394, 683, 690, 696, 718, 801, 808, or 826 and get off at Yiheyuan Station.Or take bus no.469 or 539 and get off at Yiheyuan West Palace Gate Station. Subway Line 4 can also take you there and back to the city.
The price of the subway is CNY2 regardless the distance and transfers between lines and the price of the bus is CNY1.
