About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I'm a Chinese born U.S. citizen planning on visiting my family in China. Last time I visited, I got multiple entry visa valid for one year. This time I would like to get multiple entry visa valid for two years. What do I need to do and is there any special documents I need aside from my normal visa application? Thanks.

Yeah, I am in China now. So, I need to get a temporary residence card and a multiple entry visa through the Jinan Public Security Bureau? Thanks!

Depending on which Visa office is near you, you may easily be ably to simply request a two year visa because the officer on-site has the authority to issue such visas. In Chicago, it is common for Chinese born to ask and receive two year visas. Simply ask the agent if there is a two year available. They will probably just cross out the 1 year and write in two on the application and you will receive the visa you want. I was receiving 1 year visas long before they were available and I'm an American. You simply have to ask. I hope this helps.
