I'll be arriving in Shenzhen around noon & will be waiting for a few hours for a friend, where we will go to Guangzhou together (his flight arrived later). Can you give suggestions on good shopping spots in Shenzhen while waiting and tips on how to get there from the airport?

Both of you will arrive at Shezhen Airport? If so, I think you could do shopping in the airport while waiting for your friends. At the arrivel hall, you could find some good shops. Then, you could have a rest at Starbucks. When you friend arrive, please take the airport shuttle bus Line 1 to Shenzhen Railway Station directly. Here, you could catch a train to Guangzhou in 70 minutes.
