About:Chengdu Travel

Hello!
I'm a science teacher, moving from Lin'an, Hangzhou, to Shuanliu County, Chengdu, mid-January 2010.........need advice on travel please!! I'd love to take the train, but not sure about how much luggage allowed, how long to travel, etc? I've been in China for a year, but the accent in Hangzhou is not common Patangua (?sp), so my Mandarin is limited!! (I can count to 10, but the taxi drivers in HZ are.......?deaf?)
Also, looking to make new friends (especially musicians) in and around Chengdu, as I've just signed a 2 yr contract with the school.
Please do contact me!

If you would like to take a train, you have to arrive in Hangzhou firstly. However, the fastest train will take you about 33.5 hours one the way. So, it is suggested that you take a flight from Hangzhou Airport to arrive at Chendu Shuangliu Airport directly.
Tips: usually you could take your luggages as your wish although it is said that the luggages' weight shoudl be within 20kgs.
