About:Beijing Travel

If fly to Beijing from USA and then take the train to Hong Kong, do I need a travel visa?

I am taking a cruise from Hong Kong, but am flying into Beijing for 3 days of sightseeing. Staying in Hong Kong for 3 days and then boarding a cruise ship. Do I need a tourist visa?

No, you don't need a visa covered by the 240h visa free transit. And you will apply for it at Beijing airport with your booked train ticket to Hong Kong.
