About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Malaysia - PEK transit only - USA

Hi - I'm in Malaysia, heading home to USA. I have a flight from PEK - EWR (USA). Can I fly to PEK from Malaysia and transit through Beijing (from PKX to PEK)? The trip would then be Malaysia - Beijing - USA.
