Hi hi I am an Indonesian traveling to HK and intend to do a day trip to Shenzhen.. Do I need a visa?

Yes, you do. The visa you need is called Shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival and you can obtain it at three border crossings and Lo Wu / Luohu is by far the best because you can easily reach it by suburban train from the center of Hong Kong. The price of visa is affordable 130 CNY and you can pay it with the majority of available international bank cards (debit and credit) and by Chinese cash. It is enough just to appear at the border crossing where you will apply, at Luohu visa office, for this particular visa. Everything is done right at the border. When you receive a visa in your passport you will proceed to Shenzhen city center. After your stay in Shenzhen you can return back to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.0
