About:SG04-INTL

With intend to get permanent residence for foreigner, should I get a Q1 or Q2 visa?

Canadian, wife is Chinese citizen. With the intend to long stay and get the permanent residence for foreigner it is a must to get Q1, then keep the residence card renewed for my stay for 10 years? Or if I can get a 10 years Q2, so just go in and out every 180 days for 10 years?

You should apply for Q1 as the permanent residence for foreigners who have Chinese partners requires to stay in China for at least 9 months per year in consecutive 5 years.
