About:10-year China Visa

M visa entrance rules

I have 10 year M visa, and I was told I can not use this visa to enter China with a short tour from Thailand. Doesn't make any sense to me but really no way to be sure.
I don't have enough time to apply for a new visa.

I just came back from China and my visa is good for 60 days. We stayed in Chongqing at my wife’s apartment for 58 days then went to Thailand for six days and re-entered China to stay another 60 days. I just got home December 30.
