The problem with your Macau to Zhuhai to Hong Kong route is the fact that when traveling on 240 hour visa free transit you simply cannot directly travel to Zhuhai. You can travel to Shekou in Shenzhen by ferry. If you plan to visit Zhuhai only, I would suggest you to use Zhuhai 3 days visa on arrival (3 days countdown starts on the day following the day of your arrival) that costs 130 CNY and can be obtained at Gongbei and Hengqin border crossing. You can travel from Zhuhai directly to Hong Kong by bus or ferry. As far as your second route is concerned, you cannot return to Hong Kong directly, but you will have to travel to Macau first. It is essential to understand that you will have to buy your exit ticket from mainland China even before you depart toward mainland China. You can have two 240 hour visa free transit journeys within a short time frame and each of them can be 240 hours long. Each 240 hour visa free transit journey is considered as separate and is not related to the previous one. Have a nice visit to China.
