About:Visa on Arrival

VOA for Cambodian who want to enter shenzhen via hongkong

Hi there,
I am Cambodian and I want to include Shenzhen for my upcoming Hong Kong Trip, may I know whether Cambodian is eligible for the visa or not or should I apply separate mainland visa for the trip?

The citizens of Cambodia are formally and technically eligible for Shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival, but they are applying for this visa in such a low number and their success rate is hard to estimate. In other words I would suggest you to obtain a full Chinese visa in advance because you cannot take a risk to be refused at the border crossing since the citizens of Cambodia need a visa (evisa) to enter Hong Kong. I am sorry for not being able to offer you a more decisive answer, but by obtaining a full Chinese visa in advance you can take a direct train from Hong Kong to Shenzhen or even to Guangzhou and you are not limited to Shenzhen only. Also, like this you will travel with absolute peace of mind. Have a nice journey.
