Travel from Kuala Lumpur to Hainan island, later a domestic flight to Beijing, what visa to apply?

I am Malaysian citizen travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Hainan island for 5 days and later will fly to Beijing for another 5 days visit. Please advise on visa application. I understood we are eligible for visa-free entry on arrival for 30 days, but what about travelling from Hainan to Beijing? Any extra visa needed? Thanks for your feedback.

No, you don't need any extra visa as Malaysians are granted 30-day visa-free entry to Mainland China. Since you will go to Beijing, you need to use the general visa-free policy rather than the Hainan 30-day visa-free access (free entry on arrival you mentioned) which only allows you stay in Hainan.
