About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Chicago-Beijing then Shanghai-Kuala Lumpir-Chicago

Does this itinerary work for 240hour visa free entry. Transit in either Seoul or Taipei inbound flight to Beijing. Haven’t bought tickets yet so asking to confirm prior. Please help

Yes, your itinerary is eligible for 240 hour visa free transit, but you should be careful not to book your flight to Kuala Lumpur via the same airport you will use for your inbound flight into mainland China (Seoul or Taipei).

Thank You - my outbound flight is Shanghai to Kuala Lumpir direct and then Kuala Lumpur to Chicago (2hr transit) in Seoul. Is that ok?
