About:China Visa-free Policy

Singapore>Beijing>Guilin>Singapore with layover in Malaysia

Hello,
This is my route. Would I be able to utilize the 240Hr Visa free stopover?
Singapore>Beijing>Guilin>Singapore but has a layover in Malaysia. Thank you.

If it's Singapore - Malaysia - China - Singapore, it is eligible. But if it's Singapore - Malaysia - China - Malaysia - Singapore, it is not. The key point is that the immediate points before and after mainland China should be in two different territories.
