About:Visa on Arrival

I have a HKID but British passport and I want a day in Shenzhen

Hi, I have a HKID but (British passport) I want to go to Shenzhen to look around for the day. Come back the same day. Can I queue at the border and get a visa on arrival? Or have to apply days before

It is very easy. You should arrive at Lo Wu / Luohu border crossing at about 08:30 in the morning because Luohu visa office opens at 09:00. You will fill out the form right at the border crossing and nothing before that. You will pay 130 CNY and after your visa is granted you will proceed to Shenzhen. After your stay in Shenzhen you are allowed to return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing you want and also any mean of transport, high speed train included. You will use your UK passport only and not BN(O). The latter is not recognized by mainland China.
