About:China Visa-free Policy

Canada - 10 days visa

Canada to Korea to HK and want to enter Mainland China for a sight-seeing visit in Shen Zhen then back to HK, Korea and Canada. We would book a hotel and stay for a 3 to 4 days. Would it work for us to use the 10 days visa? If so, which port would be best to enter Mainland China?

Katie, I want to clarify firstly that it’s a transit policy, not a kind of visa. Traveling from HK to Shenzhen and back to HK is not eligible for the 240h visa-free transit because it’s a round trip between HK and Shenzhen. The policy requires that you come from and head to different countries or regions before and after Mainland China so as to form a “transit” rather than a round trip.

Maybe you can make your route: HK – Shenzhen – Macau – HK – Korea…, which will be qualified. In this case, Shenzhen Shekou International Cruise Port can be your choice.
