About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa-free exemption

Hi, I have a transit in Bejing for 5 hours. (Stockholm to Bejing to Islamabad. I don't think I need to apply for the visa-free sticker as long as I stay in the airport for the 5 hour transit and take a connecting flight from there. Is that correct?

Yes, you are definitely correct. If you travel on a single ticket all you have to do is to walk from one to the other gate without performing any single formality. You do not need to fill out any form and you will not be a subject of immigration and customs inspection. You will just cross a security check between the two gates. Have a nice journey.
