About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa-free transit - using train to Hong Kong

I will be flying from Doha (or Istanbul) into Beijing, and hope to go down to Nanchang. I wonder if a train from Nanchang to Hong Kong (which I can only buy 15 days in advance possibly) would qualify for visa-free transit, or if the Nanchang railway station is not an eligible port to leave from.

Yes, the corss-border train qualify the visa free transit . You will do the immigration check in West Kowloon Station, not in Nanchang and West Kowloon Station is an eligible port in this case. BTW, only one train from Nanchang to HK departs from Nanchang East Railway Station.
