About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa inquiry for Bangladesh citizens

Hi, I am a Bangladeshi citizen and currently I am living in Japan. I am planning to go Georgia from Japan through multiple stopovers on China. My first transit will be at Guangzhou for 13 hour. Then I will have flight to Urumqi (5 hour flight) and have another layover of around 6 and a half hour. This total time frame exceeds 24 hour transit time. I wanted to know, will be able to take this flight without taking any pre-transit visa?

Azizur, unfortunately, when your total transit time exceeds 24 hours, you are not eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. You will have to obtain a Chinese transit (G) visa in advance to be allowed to transit through China. I'm sorry.

Thank you for your prompt feedback. I would like to inquire whether the transit visa allows multiple entries into China, as I will need transit during my return flight as well. Thank you for your assistance.

Azizur, you should ask/apply for a transit (G) visa with two entries. You will enclose your flight ticket during your visa application where the officials will see that you really need a two entry transit visa. I wish you all success and a nice journey.
