About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Inquiry About Visa-Free Transit – Guangzhou and Shenyang

Good day.

I am a Philippine passport holder and would like to ask if I still need a Chinese transit visa for my trip to Frankfurt, Germany.

My itinerary is:

• Manila → Guangzhou – arrival at 2:40 PM
• Guangzhou transit – approximately 4 hours and 50 minutes
• Guangzhou → Frankfurt – departure at 7:30 PM, flight CZ8021
• Shenyang – approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes for a service/refueling stop

I understand that I may need to leave the aircraft at Shenyang with my carry-on baggage, but I will remain inside the airport and will not leave the airport.

With this itinerary, do I still need a Chinese transit visa?

So your route is like Manila - GZ - SY - Frankfurt? You are covered by the 24h visa free transit at GZ and SY airport, so you don't need the transit visa. Note that you need obtain the 24h temporary entry permit freely and quickly at the immigration counter of GZ Airport for your next domestic flight to SY.
