Yes, of course you can. If your total transit time in China is shorter than 24 hours counting from your first landing (in your case in Guangzhou) until your last departure from China (in your case from Beijing), you will be eligible for 24 hour visa free transit. However, if your entire transit time will be longer than 24 hours, you will be eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. In both cases you do not need any kind of visa.
Upon your landing in Guangzhou the first thing you will do is to approach 24/240 hour visa free transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting your flight tickets and your hotel booking confirmation if you plan to stay in a hotel during your time spent in China. After your permit is granted you will head to the immigration and then toward your flight for Beijing. Have a nice journey.
