About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong - Shanghai - London - 144 hour Visa free policy

Hello

I have a British passport and I will be travelling from London via Istanbul to Hong Kong and stay a few days in Hong Kong. I will then travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai and then stay 4 days and return back to London direct from Shanghai.

Can I use the 144 hour visa free policy? Is Hong Kong eligible?

Thank you

Yes, you can use 144 hour visa free transit scheme in wider Shanghai area and Hong Kong is eligible for this policy. You can proceed with your travel plans with absolute peace of mind.

Just one addition. You have written that you will travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai and here I would just want to stress the fact that only the flights on this route are eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. Use of direct train was also eligible, but not any more. Have a nice journey.
