Italian no VISA 20h layover

Hello

I am flying to Tokyo from London Gatwick next year in June and I will need to do a layover of 21 hours in Beijing Airport.
I know that for Italian Citizens there is a 15 days no visa policy but that will end in November 2024 and there seem to be no news that this policy will be extended.
Do you know if that will be extended? Also, I should't have any problems I guess?

Alessanadro, the visa free regime for Italian and many other European citizens is extended to the end of 2025, so you should not bother yourself about it.

Regardless of the fact that you will be able to visit China visa free for up to 15 days the whole next year, you would be able to travel absolutely visa free based on 24/144 hour visa free transit even if there was not this visa free regime for Italian citizens. So, you are good to go and you do not need any kind of visa in any way.
