15 days free visa

After travel round China for 12 days, l join Royal Caribbean cruise from Shanghai to Japan. After 5N6D, the cruise ship disembark to Shanghai again. Is this considered as new entry to China, and l can have another 15 days free visa? i am from Malaysia.
