About:China Visa on Arrival

Contradiction? Please can you let me know about the visa for all China that is obtainable in Hainan?

Your article says it is possible to get a visa on arrival in Hainan that allows travel throughout China. It concludes "Visa on Arrival for Travelers in Emergencies" which suggests the visa on arrival is only for special cases with special documents.

Please can you confirm for me: can I land in Hainan and simply request a paid-for visa that lets me go all over China? Without special documents from PSB? (I hold UK passport) Thanks

I'm afraid no. The success rate to obtain a regular visa on arrival in Hainan is very very very low. Don't rely on it. To travel throughout China, you need to apply for a ready visa in advance. If you only plan to travel within Hainan, then the Hainan 30-day visa free access can be taken advantage of, which is not difficult to get.

Thanks. Actually, I was successful! I called the airport and spoke with them in Chinese. They were extremely helpful and the visa for Portuguese passport was totally around 200yuan! 30day F visa.

Oh, congratulations. I think you must have some ground documents like an invitation letter for the F visa. Anyway, wish you wonderful days in China~
