About:Visa on Arrival

HK Residents + South African Passport Holders

Hello!
My Wife and I would like to travel to Shenzhen from Hong Kong for two days and would like to know more about the VOA and how much in advance we'd have to arrive at the Lohu port to get a Visa approved?

Actually, there is no too complicated formal process. You should arrive at Luohu border crossing at least at 08:30 in order to stay in the queue for the opening hours at 09:00 and to be certain that you will get this visa without too long waiting times. You do not need anything beside your passports because the border official will take a photos of you two. Yes, there is a fee of 130 CNY per person payable by card. Also, you will fill out a form and after the processing time you will be granted your visas that will allow you to stay in Shenzhen for a period of 5 days. After your stay in Shenzhen you can return back to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included.
