Hi, I'm a Mongolian nationality and I'm flying from New Zealand to Kuala Lumpur. My flight through Haikou and I'll be waiting for my next flight to Guangzhou for 10 hours. According to my ticket condition, I need to self-transfer. In this case, do I need a visa to check-out as a transit traveler?

No, you don't need a visa and you can enjoy 24-hour visa free transit. Only remember to get a 24-hour visa free entry permit at haikou airport border inspection counter to connect the flight to Guangzhou.
