flying through china with two stop overs do i need a visa

Hello Canadian traveller here, I am travelling through KMG and have a layover there for 9 hours and another lay over in Shanghai for 2 hours. I don't go over the 24 hours, however would I still need a visa? Thanks!

As long as you leave China within 24 hours (the flight time form KMG to Shanghai and the total layover time), you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit.
