About:Visa on Arrival

VOA for UK passport but born in HK

My friend is holding UK passport over 30 years, but was born in Hong Kong, can they use the VOA to Shenzhen while visiting HK?

Of course he can. There are no obstacles. The price is 130 CNY and the validity of visa is 5 days. It is limited to Shenzhen only. He has to apply for a visa on one of three designated border crossings and the best option is to take the first morning ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port and to apply for a visa there. He can return back to Hong Kong by any mean of transport, high speed train included.
