Transiting from Meilan to Guangzhou

Hello,
I am an Australian citizen and hold a valid Australian passport. I have bought a flight ticket from Sydney to Nigeria through Hainan Airlines.
I will do a self-transfer within 3.5hrs from:
HAK Meilan International Airport to CAN Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to catch Qatar Airways to DOHA International Airport on the same day.
I just wanted to find out if I will need a visa to transit from Meilan Airport to CAN Guangzhou.
