About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Can I get a 144h visa is I enter China by train

If I take the train (or ferry) from Hong Kong to Shenzhen or Guangzhou en go back the same way, can I get the 144 hours visa?

No, you cannot. First, this is a return trip but not a transit trip. Second, only by air is acceptable when entering Guangzhou or Shenzhen.
