About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

How to travel from Guangzhou to Hong Kong without using air route

Hello. I am Japanese and will be arriving by plane in Guangzhou. I would like to travel from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by land or ferry. Can I use the 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit to leave for Hong Kong via the West Kowloon train station or the Pazhou Port ferry?
I can't find the source of the information, but one website states that the above mentioned departures are difficult. If not by air, is it practical to take a ferry from Shenzhen to Hong Kong?

Thank you.

If your route is Japan – Guangzhou – Hong Kong and you don’t stay in other cities, then you are eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit. Traveling from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by land is not advised as you cannot go through the immigration inspection in Guangzhou.

So it is advised you leave for Hong Kong by ferry via Nansha Port. Pazhou Port you mentioned is not the port available for the 144-hour visa-free transit.

You can also take a ferry from Shenzhen to Hong Kong via Shenzhen Shekou Ferry Terminal.
